| We Believe
in the one true and living God - Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and that these three are one.
1 John 5:7 , 11 Cor 13:14 , Matt 28:19 |
| We Believe
in the fall of Adam and his posterity in and with him into condemnation by the
transgression of Gods law; in the total depravity of the human race, and in the
impossibility of any of them to recover themselves or gain the favor of God by their
own works or by an act of their own free will. Romans 3:9-20 , Romans 5:12 , Psalms 51:5 |
| We Believe
in the election of a definite number of the human family to eternal salvation and that God
made choice of them in Christ before the foundation of the world, not because of anything
He foresaw in man but for His own good pleasure. Eph 1:4-5 , Romans 8:30 , I Peter 2:9 , II Thess 2:13 |
| We Believe
those given to Christ in covenant bonds will all be effectually called, quickened and born
of the Spirit of God, and justified by the righteousness of Christ. Eph 2:1 , Gal 2:16-21 |
| We Believe
that God predestinated a people to be conformed to the image of His Son, their names are
written in the Lambs Book of Life, and they are the redeemed out of every nation,
kindred, tongue and people. We believe that God predestinated neither the good nor evil
acts of men. We do believe we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Romans 8:30 , Rev 20:12-15 , Rev 5:9 , Eph 2:10 , I Peter 1:2 |
| We Believe
that the Church of Christ is a body corporate, possessing full power to govern herself;
and having the exclusive right to receive and discipline her own members, knowing no rule
but the word of God, she is therefore, independent. Acts 2:41-47 , Romans 12:5 , I Cor 5:4-5 , II Thess 3:6 |
| We Believe
the ministry to be divinely called and gifted and are to devote themselves to reading,
exhortation and doctrine. We believe the Lord hath ordained that they which preach the
gospel should live of the gospel. Therefore, we believe in the full support of the gospel
minister that he may give himself continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.
II Tim 1:6-8 , I Tim 4:13-16 , II Tim 4:5 , II Tim 2:4 , Acts 6:1-4 , Matt 10:7-10 , II Cor 9:7 , I Cor 9:7-14 |
| We Believe
that water baptism and the Lords Supper are gospel ordinances, and are to be
continued until His Second Coming, and that true believers are the only fit subjects of
baptism and that immersion is the only gospel mode, and that the example of washing the
saints feet should be observed in the church. Matt 28-19 , Romans 6:3 , I Cor 11:23-29 , John 13:12-15 |
We Believe
that there will be a resurrection of the bodies both of the just
and unjust, and a general judgment, and that the happiness of the righteous shall be
eternal and the punishment of the wicked shall be everlasting. We further believe, as Paul
declares, that these same bodies shall be, not exchanged, but changed, and given the image
of our glorified Savior. |
